Paragraph answer

1. NightJohn is a story about slavery and how badly the slaves were treated. The story is actually told by a former slave that witnessed it all. For instance when Waller first bought NightJohn to the plantation he ran him naked with shackles on his neck, and didnt stop until the bitting flies took at him. One girl that was really  treated bad was Alice. The master made her a breeder and she didnt like that too much so they tied her up and forced it upon her. One time the master whipped her back until it was all ripped and bleeding. In one chapter Sarny talks about two men she knew that ran,Jim and Pawley. when the master caught jim he let his vicious dogs at him and they tore his body to shreds while he was hanging from a tree. Pawley left and came back every night except one.When the master caught him he set the dogs on him then cut himand he bleed to death.2 Mascot was about malcom x and his childhood. As a child he was pretty well known around his neighboorhood. His brother was a boxer,and he tried out boxing and it didnt workout. After that, he wanteed to become a lawyer but his history teacher thought other wise.3 The great debaters , mAscot, and NightJohn was about people who wanted to do things with her life. like samantha booke wanted tobecaome a lawyer and malcom did too. but the diffrence is that only samantha went to college and bacame a lawyer.
